Gonna have to mull it over a bit, but right now, I'm pretty sure I prefer it to UC2.
The plot was significantly better - character relations were what I always wanted out of my Uncharted plots, with a side of treasure huntin' and bad guy killin', and Nate/Sully are two of the best characters in gaming to have in a game like this. Loved the dialogue. Best antagonists by far too. Unlike with Lazarevic -- sorry, Cameraman Jeff (sorry icon) -- and Roman, I wanted to beat their faces in, hard. The supernatural element in this game was also significantly more in tune with the plot and fun than those in UC1/2.
I have a few minor problems, but they're not significant in any way and spoil things a tad so I'll avoid them.
Gameplay... man. Melee is so significantly improved. I'll have to check my STATS out later, but I'm pretty sure I melee'd as many people to death as I killed. It's so fun. Gunplay was solid, too - everything felt fluid, nothing too bad.
Platforming, I had a load of fun with, but that's par for the Uncharted course for me. So many excellent chases and escapes that I can't count them all. The one in all the trailers where you're catching a plane is one of the more notable, but there are plenty more like that in the game.
Uhh... yeah. Time for Crushing!

Not reading anything beyond the first line. But so far I'm thinking I might like UC2 more as well. Pretty nice so far. Not sure when I'll finish it though, I don't like rushing through games.
Well, considering it took me 11 hours -- and I'm good at Uncharted -- you're still being pretty dumb here.
Also an "hour for each 2-3 bucks I spend" is the most superfluous, idiotic thing I have ever heard. Length doesn't make a good game. If they had dragged it out to 20 hours, the plot and gameplay would have suffered for it.

Still, I need to work roughly 10 hours to get enough money to buy a new game (yay for minimum wages), if it takes the same amount of time to beat said game it's not really cool.
awesome that you like it. I would never want to single-play through a game like this though. I'd at least want to try extending it to a couple days so I felt like it was worth it.
I know, Uncharted has awesome pacing etc etc. still! I love reflecting on the games I'm playing and you didn't get to do that.
I'm going through Crushing now, and I can take it more slowly. I like taking games -- especially Uncharted, which is sort of like a Blockbuster Video Game -- like this at a movie pace. Absorb it all as you go, get more emotionally invested etc.

Also, I'm not sure how I made it this long without talking about the graphics. We've seen the screenshots and trailers, but goddamn. Most of the times I stopped it was just to explore the freaking gorgeous locales.

I'm still early on, but it's pretty dull so far. Melee isn't that good for me, especially after just playing batman, which this is pretty similar to.
graphically it is very good looking (I'd say Rage looks better, but this doesn't have the texture pop in, so in the end I guess I'll give UC3 the edge).

omg did u red text from last night dats so me LMAO : ) im not a slut i jus liek 2 haev fun LOL : )
11 hours... is that longer than Uncharted 2? I remember playing a few hours each day for 3 or 4 days to beat Uncharted 2.
I understand Ayuyu's point about short main stories. I mostly agree with him - the exception is the Metal Gear games, since they have so many easter eggs and non-linear gameplay, it makes it worth it.
