These are from back when the season was airing to try to help people out. Sorry they're so sloppy and MSPaint-y, but they apparently helped some people.

There are some minor backstory "spoilers", but they're stuff that was in the first 50 or so pages of the book and which they only mention in passing in the show.

There is still a lot of (often unnecessary) sex and nudity in the books. It's one of the things that really lessens my enjoyment of the series. It's like the book equivalent of HBO, it often feels like it is just there to make the books more "adult" or whatever. At least to me.

Still one of the best overall plots of any series ever though.

OMG, Alec, you rock, dude. I'm going to study those charts like I'm prepping for my finals before I move on.

Anyway, overdue for some thoughts on the second ep. I'll be writing things down more conventionally now, since a.) looking over my OP I don't find it very funny (I was quite drunk) and b.) I'll be damned if I can remember everything remotely sequentially at this point.

So yeah, the name of the episode was clearly "Puppy Love" no matter what the producers themselves have claimed. The dire wolves really came through as badasses, Sansa and Joffrey were flirting children (these two are going to grow up to be vile; man, I want these two to get owned more), Daenerys learned how to please her husband Ronon Dex ^.^, and Jon Snow (how polite of that chart to italicize bastard beneath his name) had his boy-like appreciation of The Wall rather shattered in short order.

Really well-produced once again, but obviously I shouldn't be expecting anything less. The show's first season had a budget of $60 million, apparently; Battlestar Galactica's were in the ballpark of $25 million, I think. They really know how to spend it, too. Very pretty. And as an Irishman 100% of the way, there's an almost bittersweet taste in seeing my home country. I really need to go there at least once before I die. I need to connect with these beautiful vistas. My heartstrings...!

Tyrion is amazing, what the hell is Peter Dinklage channeling to pull this off. Not since the historic BRIGHT SLAP !! has a character's backhand felt so sharp.

I'm starting to see the king more as his own man and less as the guy from Still Standing, which is good because otherwise the scene where he talks about big teets would have really broken the fourth wall for me. To that end, Sean Bean has taken off running with Ned Stark. Really stellar performances here, especially in that scene near the end where he killed the wolf.

Joffrey needs to get his other hand bitten. And why is Arya so amazing? I want this little girl to grow up and kill all oppressors.

He's channeling Tyrion who is pretty much the best character in the series.

Him and Arya are generally the run away 'fan favorite' characters (though there's plenty of others that are extremely well liked too).

Really though the entire cast of the show is awesome and play the characters pretty much exactly as they are in the books, which is something most adaptions can't even dream of let alone do, so yeah.

That's awesome. I was just thinking about how godly some of the characters must be in the novels if the old "TV show/movie can't pull it off to the fullest" thing was still true, because yeah, after two hours a few of these folks are already really memorable to me.

I'm glad to see my enjoyment of Arya's character is not a rarity, too. That child actress is surprisingly good. Actually, let me rephrase: all the child actors are surprisingly good. Usually you end up looking to them if there's a blatant weak link in the chain, but they really found some talented kids to march alongside the A-list adults.

Yeah, the child actors in GoT were great. Awesome job from all of them.

Game of Thrones is an amazing show. Tyrion steals every scene he's in. I agree that the child actors are great too, even though the children themselves are vile, with the exception of Bran.
