I don't agree with some of the rankings, but solid list so far.

Why so vague boys and girls? Neon what songs have you heard of? Other guy what rankings do you disagree with? When making this list I fought endlessly with the middle rankings. Which one did you find most egregious?

there are a couple bands on here that i think have better songs than the ones you listed (the killers, modest mouse, T.I., justin timberlake to name a few despite the fact that half of them aren't bands)

hopefully those better songs are still to come

just don't put a radiohead song at number 1

so cliche!

And VH1's list was ridiculous. Beyonce and Jay-Z both had top ten songs, and together had the #1. They are clearly promoting some upcoming Jay/Beyonce special.

Sephy, that was the one part of the VH1 list they got right. Though I would put Single Ladies as Beyonce's best solo song. They also picked the wrong Jay song. Tim, as I said in the write up for The Killers, Somebody Told Me was a landmark in Vegas. That song was what Hey Ya was to everyone else. I can't even fully explain it. As for your other picks, what would you pick as the best TI song? The best modest mouse song?
