I was like 15 and lived in Vegas with my grandparents, we would sometimes eat at casinos, and after they would gamble. Since I wasn't allowed, I could only go to the theater or arcade until they finished.
Usually I had my cousin with me, but I had to do it alone a couple times.
twiceish. I went to the like... live broadcast Lost panel thing that was in movie theaters by myself, and I went to see 50/50 by myself because my friends went to see it without me ;_;.
so until last week I'd never been to a real movie alone.

Never. I'm a movie guy, and I watch all the big new movies at the cinema, but half the point of going is discussing the movie with friends afterwards and sharing the experience. Going alone would just be sad.
I'd go alone if somehow all my friends died and nobody wanted to go with me though.
Somewhat offtopic, but I wish there were more book cafes (is that what you call them?) in general. Places where you can order a light meal and just read a book. Or two. Or three. Oh god, I would spend my whole life there.
I doubt there's anything like this in my area, sadly.....

Yeah, I saw the movie Fame by myself in theaters because I really wanted to watch it and none of my friends are gay. And then I saw Deathly Hallows Part 1 by myself because I was in the mall shopping and I had no plans for the rest of the day.
I mean I watch movies at home by myself, I don't see what's so weird about doing the same thing at a theater.

I did that too.
I've gone to the movies alone quite a few times. Most of the time I really want to see something and none of my friends did or were unavailable. Or sometimes I just had to get out of the house so I went to a movie.
I think the only time I ever really felt embarrassed about it was when I saw Nick and Norah by myself, at midnight. But hey, I got off work late and I really wanted to see it. I actually like Michael Cera and Kat Dennings is nice.
I can't recall ever going by myself, but I have nothing against it. I just have lots of movie fans for friends, and my parents go almost every single weekend, so there really isn't ever a case where I wouldn't be able to find someone to go with.

I'm "kind of a big deal". http://img.imgcake.com/cyclo/Cyclopngegpngre.png
theme parks alone are the only way to do it unless you've got people you can really trust to haul ass and have the same kind of gameplan in mind by default. there's no argument over where to go, no issues with just 1 seat available, and nobody slowing you down. i mean if you're in something like disney world then yeah, alone doesn't really work as well. but six flags? oh hell no. solo baby.

Yes, plenty of times. I've been a film nut since I was kid. If there's something out that I want to see but nobody else wants to or can get around to going, that's fine. I'll be damned if anything will stop me from enjoying a film at the theater.
