i agree with u that fps/third person action/shooter types dominate the market these days. Its because they are the cheapest to produce, test for bugs, and are the most successful online multiplayer games. Online multiplayer is the most important factor for a high selling game of this gen.

I wasn't trying to say that's what you're like, but realize that when you made the initial post you were entering a group with "those" people.

This topic comes up once a month, and usually by people whose top 10 are all jRPGs or Zelda games.

Battlefield is the only war-themed shooter I enjoy, cause it's more about teamwork.

Nobody's saying that shooters suck and should die. It's just that when you flood a genre, it gets boring. Look what happened to Guitar Hero.

ps2 era wasn't even platformers, that was jrpgs. if you want the eras flooded with platformers, 16 and 32 bit where it's at.
