I'll be there the 20th and 21st (I think that's how I'm scheduled), so stop by and say hi. It's like 50% off back issues and 30% off toys, statues and cards or something like that. I forget exactly
I read Justice League International 1&2 today. They were fun to read. I don't really know most of the heroes, but it looks like it's set up for new readers to learn about them anyways since Booster Gold doesn't know them either. Booster Gold, Rocket Red and August-General-in-Iron seem great so far. I'm looking forward to the next issue.
What are the top 3 Marvel and top 3 DC villains, in your opinions, ranked by your favorite and then just by characterization. So, four lists total. I'll post mine later, I gotta go make dinner.

So what happened to Simon at the end of TTGL? http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3305/187426-after_cid_large.png
My lists.. keep in mind that I am somewhat limited in my exposure to Marvel villains except from what I read as a teenager.
DC Favorites: 1. Sinestro 2. Joker 3. Atrocitus
Marvel Favorites: 1. Mr. Sinister 2. Magneto 3. Venom
DC Characterization: 1. Joker 2. Sinestro 3. Atrocitus
There's a reason this is almost the same as my previous DC list, I love the characters because of how they are characterized. They are so well written most of the time that I think they are some of the best characters in all fiction.
Marvel Characterization: 1. I don't really remember the characterization of any Marvel villains, so I can't really do this list. Still interested to see your lists though.

My Backloggery (Work in progress, still adding games) http://backloggery.com/sgtsphynx
I've been thinking about it, but for some reason I really can't come up with a solid list for something like that. There are just to many factors to think of.
...dammit my parents cut my spending money. now i only get 15 dollars a month that i can spend on comics. ugh decisions decisions JLI(3.21) Batwing(3.21) Avengers Academy(3.21) Annihilators: earthfall(4.28)>X-men legacy(after gage starts writing legacy. that's in january right?) (how much cost?) Wolverine & the X-men(how much does this cost?) basically i am stuck between X-men legacy which has the more interesting team to me and Wolverine & the X-men(which i think will be the one i drop) what do you guys think?
-- official Kojondo of the pokemon B/W clan MVC3 teams are taskmaster/deadpool/arthur, Zero/X-23/Super Skrull and Zero/Super skrull/deadpool
Some of those classes sound fun. I especially liked "Algebra Sucks: I Know, But You Still Have to Learn It."

~=B8's Resident Ninja-Pirate. Please insert liquor, and pour one for Guru Winner, BT=~ http://www.futurama-madhouse.com.ar/fanart/kenneth/bender_auron.jpg
So we got Brood, Xavier's wheelchair, Cyclops, the team going INSIDE Kitty's body(and not the way Colossus does it), Shi'ar Superguardians, Frankenstein, and THE PHOENIX

You know who's sexy? Black Turtle, the 2010 Games Contest Guru Winner, that's who!
I wouldn't say the X-Men proper have been grimdark though... Fraction's run was terrible, but part of the reason it was terrible was that it was trying (and failing) to be funny.
just finished reading all of the #2 issues from week 4 that I am following, and with that I'll post my rankings of the New 52 so far. in total I ended up trying just a little over half of all the series DC had to offer. in the end, had to drop 3 titles. Frankenstein and Nightwing were decent enough, but I don't feel like continuing to pay to see what happens in them. Firestorm I have not enjoyed at all, it is probably the only one. lastly, Detective Comics. it didn't seem as terrible as people have been claiming but I wouldn't normally pay for it... except for the fact that I have a subscription so they're going to keep coming to my house anyway so eh, I'll keep reading them.
not sure what the general consensus on most of this is since I generally don't pay that much attention to what other people think, but, here they are
---A TIER OF ITS OWNLegion Lost
---TOP TIERStormwatch Suicide Squad Justice League Green Lantern Corps Supergirl Animal Man Legion of Super-Heroes Aquaman
---HIGH TIERTeen Titans I, Vampire Justice League International Green Lantern Batwing Swamp Thing Justice League Dark Action Comics Demon Knights

http://img.imgcake.com/nio/81edpngej.png edwardsdv and swordz9 are basically the comedy heel tag team of this topic, why would people be taking them seriously?
Yeah I loved it, especially in the second issue with Wildfire narrating the whole thing. It was a brilliant way to give tons of characterization to a member of the main cast while not slowing down the pacing of the story at all.
And before I read this I was a bit hesitant to pick it up since the only Legion member on this book I really cared about was Timberwolf. This issue alone made me like Wildfire more than Timerwolf.
I love it. Such an interesting take on his character and I love the way he literally pays his rent with ancient alien gold.

what are some good comic cartoons? I'm trying to get ny three year old nephew to watch things that aren't Cailou, Toopy & Binoo, and other annoying kids shows. I have Batman TAS, TMNT and X-Men on DVD, but what else is out there? I remember watching a few Teen Titans episodes in high school, and I followed the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, but that's pretty much it.
He loves Batman and TMNT, but we haven't started on X-Men yet. I'd just like some other options! Maybe I'm missing something cool.

Superman - 3.5 Hawkman - 4 Teen Titans - 4.5 I, Vampire - 4
Teen Titans moves at a pretty great pace. Lots of stuff packed into a single issue. I think it's hurting my opinion of Aquman because of how decompressed that book is, reading them back to back.

uhhh if he's three years old he should probably still be watching annoying kids shows
