Everyone said BG1 should be played with Tutu, so I installed it and all that good stuff. Things were going along great -- I've quite enjoyed the game. But I've run into an issue that's being annoying.

I did the Minsc/Dynaheir quest, but things got really weird. When I entered the Gnoll Fortress to rescue Dynaheir, I immediately was given Dynaheir in my party. Since I entered with 6, I had to ditch someone, and I chose Dynaheir since I still needed to strip Branwen of her stuff before replacing her. Regardless of that, when I DID encounter Dynaheir she gave her typical "you kicked me out of the party" line and took Minsc with her, after which I talked to them again and added them to my party. Things seemed fine.

But apparently the weird way that Dynaheir joined means that the flag that tells Minsc she joined never got triggered. So ten days later, Minsc gives me a warning. I read somewhere else ( http://tinyurl.com/3hqvqfy ) that the timer is weird and Minsc wouldn't actually turn on me, but ... he did. I'd rather not have this happen, so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was anything that you can do to a save file or using the cheat console or something to avoid this. I ask here since during the GoG sale it looked like there were a lot of BG fans on here that knew what they were talking about.

I just want to play again! The game is great, and that makes this bug all the more frustrating.

I've discovered Shadowkeeper which is a save editor, but now I need to know the name of the flag I need to change and I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Hrm.

I generally keep a rolling save file of about 5-6 saves so I would recommend just going back to an earlier save if you can.

If not, perhaps try kicking them out then having them join again? I dunno.

This is ~ten in-game days after rescuing her. I didn't realize her joining weird screwed things up until Minsc gave me the warning message which doesn't happen for ten days after you recruit him, so other saves aren't really an option since it's so far back.

And I've tried many things with removing them and re-adding them but it doesn't work. The clock just keeps ticking. I've found the flag that tells me Minsc has warned me I'm running out of time, and I can turn that off, but then he just immediately warns me again and the timer starts anew. So if I edit my save every 10 days I can play, but I think it would be easier just to find this one flag to edit.

Anyone have a save where they did Dynaheir/Minsc? If you wouldn't mind downloading Shadowkeeper and looking at the "Global Variables" section of the file and seeing if you see a flag that could be it that'd be great!

On this computer I only have a trilogy playthrough where I killed Dynaheir for Edwin. Also Minsc is dead as well. Sorry!
