It seems fun so far but it also seems like a dumbed down version of Fallout 3. I realize that the atmosphere is pretty different and I'm sure that more differences will start popping up as I get further into it but that's just my first vibe out of it. I can already tell that the AI is pretty dumb though. It makes me feel like I'm not going to be getting the full experience by just playing single player. Opinions on the game?
The AI is indeed dumb, also obviously the game is best when you have a party of 4. Going solo in the game can still be ok but it doesn't compare to playing with a full group. Or what i did and had a group of 4 all playing as Brick, soooo great.

But at the same time playing online with some random strangers doesn't seem like it would be much fun either. I think I missed the boat on this one when my friends were all playing it.
Thanks Shine you might have convinced me to play through this now. Thinking about it again it seems like Borderlands is more like FPS Diablo 2. The fun comes from finding new items and upgrading your character, not necessarily the enemies themselves.
It's basically exactly like Diablo 2 in that sense. Singleplayer isn't bad but it's just shooting and waiting for shield to recharge... almost tedious. There's more variety than D2's clickathon, but still.
You got it on PC right? I think there's a couple of other b8ers who got it recently who could party up. I would, but with school and all these new games coming out, I doubt I would play for very long.
