Late Game Roland solos literally everything. He can run through the final level, drop a turret, sit behind it and just murder rape everything in existence.

Here's how the game went:

Early on Brick murders everything with Raw Power
Then Lilith murder rapes everything for the next 14 hours thanks to Acid's Brokenness with her abilities.

Then you max out that one guy's Bird and get good Sniper Rifles and he starts one shotting things and wiping out legions of enemies from a distance they can't fight back at.

Then Roland dominates everything with his ridiculous magazine capability and Turrets.

Pretty sure the original 4 aren't in the new one.

There's a new Siren, with different abilities than Lilith.

There's also a new big looking Brick character but he isn't a berserker.

The original characters do return, but they aren't playable. They're central to the story though.

Also, the new big guy is a Gunzerker. If you don't like dual-wielding rockets, miniguns or whatever the hell they'll have, then shame on you.

Genius.

I only really played Borderlands solo, but pistol/revolver Mordecai was really fun. Machine pistols were awesome up close, Masher Revolvers did SO MUCH F***ING DAMAGE, and I could still use my regular revolver/sniper to get headshots.

I only played Borderlands 1 a bit solo because no one else plays it now, but it was pretty fun. I can imagine it is exponentially more fun with 4 people.
