And force everybody in the country to take it, either prior to voting or being able to discuss politics at all. At the very least everybody at my workplace should have to.
If somebody can take the time to make a "What Sailor Moon character are you?", somebody can do this.
Just 50-100 questions on various issues, followed by it telling you how far left or right you are (and if you're conservative or liberal since people still don't know this), whether you're Democratic or Republican, and which Presidential candidate you should support.
Literally everybody I went to college with in 2008 voted for Obama because he was cool, and something like 98% of African Americans voted for him just because. People should know what they're voting for.
Just distribute the quiz over Facebook so everybody can post their results next to "What flavor Pop-Tart are you?" and I think it will go a long way towards educating the dumb.

What's the point? If people didn't care about politics before, what's to stop them from selecting the first answer to every question just to get it over with?

This much I agree with.

There never was a post. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.
I don't care how they work. People do not have pre-conditioned responses when it comes to abortion, and even if they do it doesn't matter. They'll still find out which candidate and party best encompasses their interests.
I think the government has a role in the economy or The government shouldn't exist

BoshStrikesBack posted... I would rather have a black and white question.
Do you not understand how these things work? If you ask obvious questions, then people will give you pre-conditioned responses.
"Oh, foreign policy? I SUPPORT REAGAN."
vs.
"The enemy of my enemy? Come to think of it, no, I really can't advocate this."
maybe you should start thinking about your "posts" before "posting"
As sad as it is, most voters don't consider their "political philosophy" so much as their stance on individual issues.
So a quiz that simply says: "Are for for or against [Gay marriage/the Iraq War/death penalty/higher taxes/etc" would probably be a great judge of what party you should vote for.

This exactly.
It doesn't matter if people are pre-conditioned to be for or against something, that's still how they feel. If they're against abortion, they should know which candidates are against abortion. It doesn't matter why they feel the way they do.
