Okay, so on Sucks, this guy did an interactive ranking of every Big Brother contestant ever, and it went pretty well, so he started a Survivor rank down which I joined in. Unfortunately, the twists he has added in are pretty f***ing stupid (Exile Island, which makes four rankers, myself included, unable to continue in the rank down until the top 270, as well as multiple hidden immunity idols and immunity necklaces). So I figure that, while I may hate many of the opinions held by Board 8 about certain contestants, you guys are at least reasonably sane and for the most part are not mentally challenged, so we could do a MUCH better job on this.

So yeah, if you like Survivor and aren't averse to writing at least one paragraph about any given contestant, then sign up and this can be fun, as opposed to completely f***ing stupid (seriously, an Exile Island twist that boxes out four of the more active people? Total bulls***).

K, I'd like to know how it's done before I commit.

Also, I remember seeing this on Sucks for BB. I only browsed it because I had no clue who anyone was, but it was definitely and interesting round robin sort of feature. It was cool and I'm happy to see one for B8. Thanks for bringing it.

You can eliminate someone once per day. Any time during the period from midnight to midnight.

Wait and the survivor who got the most writeups is eliminated?

No. Once someone does a write-up, that Survivor is out unless someone uses their idol to save him or her.

So people go in order?

And so on. There's no set order for who can rank when, since, you can post whenever you want (just as long as you only update once a day).

Well, you could at least go back and check who they are, but it's not like you HAVE to eliminate someone you don't know.

I did. A few are because I never watched four of the seasons, but the rest... I just have no recollection of them ever existing. For one, even after reading a full, scene-by-scene detailed description of an episode... there's even less I know than the nothing I already did.

Let's say it's 3 a.m. and everyone's asleep but me

I'm here, armed with 20-25 write-ups, and I eliminate Cirie and then eliminate 15 other people.

Several hours later, somebody wakes up and sees Cirie is eliminated and wants to use their idol: wouldn't it be too late to use the idol to save Cirie? Otherwise someone could just wait like 50 eliminations before saying "oh yeah I want to save that person way back when".

EDIT: okay just saw the 24 hour rule. I guess it'd be advantageous to wait 23:59 before saving the person.

This is all flawed because you eliminated Cirie.

It's 24 hours from the time of the save, not a 24-hour period. And yes, you COULD use strategy like that I suppose. The rule is mostly to prevent something like "Okay, I eliminate Player X" and then someone else eliminating someone else immediately after to prevent an idol from being used.

I've watched all the seasons, so I can do this.

You rank ONE person every twenty-four hours (eliminating them from the rank-down), and once during the entire contest you can idol someone, saving them from elimination and keeping them in the running.

so essentially, I pick the person I like the least from those who are elligible and do a write up to eliminate him/her and finalize his/her rank overall? (assuming no one uses an idol)

For some reason it sounded more complicated than that, but yeah, sounds like fun. I'm in
