Rathalos is definitely more well known than Tigrex or Lagiacrus

Yeah, but those two have a story connection with them (even if it isn't much) and Rath is just another monster

Unless he does something like that in one of the earlier MH games I haven't played!

Rathalos is in every game though so he fits the role of a 'rival' far more than big monster that's causing us problems
