Why is it making my pictures blurry?

They're fine until I upload them. Then they look like they have water damage, or something.

This is probably the best example:
The original did not look that bad. There was a lot more detail before I uploaded it. (I mean, the little lines were sharper and easier to see, and it looked like there were more of them.)
