In high school, I took a New Testament class, and the students graded each others quiz papers. On one quiz, the answer to a question was "Lazarus." A girl raised her hand, and asked "E-L-I-J-A-H... is that Lazarus?"

At another point in the course, she asked the teacher if "heaven was in up the sky... like behind the clouds"

A girl in my high school couldn't find Asia on a world map... later, she could not find the South Pole...

A guy asked "If the temperature is in Celsius, does that mean it gets colder as the number goes up?"

When asked what the largest island in the US was, three Honor Roll level girls worked together and came up with "Rhode Island"
