It's cool and all, but now you have to eat, apparently.
I...really don't like that. At all. I don't know why he felt the need to change his phenomenally popular gameplay. I don't enjoy things that degrade over time, really can't stress that enough. Sure, it's realistic. Whatever. I'm done.

i've watched some videos on 1.8 (yogscast >_>), and the eating bit seemed like it was about the most laid back eating requirement ever. plus, they were saying something about being effectively unkillable with full food. and food in minecraft is pretty easy to come by tbh...
so at the most, all the food requirement would mean is making a slot dedicated to food, something you would do anyway if expecting monsters.
that said, hunger in games IS the single most annoying requirement i can think of off the top of my head -_-

There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out
Is the whole update out now or is there still more to come?
Some of the new features don't really do anything yet, and will be completed in 1.9, due at the end of the month. For example- > You can earn EXP, but not spend it on anything > There are randomly generated villages, but no NPCs > "Strongholds" (dungeons) have no end bosses, and are currently limited to 3 per map. There'll be more of them, and strong mobs lying at the end, in 1.9

From: Leebo86 | #013 lol, as if you were gonna play it in the future if you didn't want to before
Actually, now that I hear the hunger requirement isn't that bad I might reconsider. The only reason I haven't played yet is because I didn't really want to play by myself or with a bunch of people I didn't know (I actually bought the game on impulse and played for like an hour, but that doesn't really count). Now my friend is thinking of setting-up a server and then I would probably pick it up.
