On the other side of New York few months ago, a Republican stronghold seat was taken over by a Democrat in a special election. Ironically, the guy who resigned the seat also had a sex scandal.

not care is correct for new york at least. both candidates sucked, the dem sucked more, and the seat's being killed off in a year or two. wasn't really any point for someone to try to get it.
