Not demos. "Free" games, that you can only play fully by paying for the rest of the content that was taken out.

Crimson Alliance is a game like this, where it's free to play, but you need to pay for all the characters.

That's just how every game is on PSN. It's lame, but that's how they do it.

As long as the demos in question are given away for free, there's no problem. If anything, it's better because you can try it out before buying it.

It's paying for a game and then having to pay more for stuff already in the game that bothers me.

No. It would count if you get it for free, but you're only allowed to play as the Medic until you buy every other character.

Pretty good, because I won't have to download another large file with the full game, and I can just continue my progress from the demo.

Nah. Stuff like Stacking, MvC2, and Braid is what he's talking about. The demo is the entire game, with slightly altered coding that prevents you from progressing past the end point of the demo. If you buy the game, you get a tiny unlock key that removes the coding. Most games I buy on PSN are like this: when I buy the game, I have to download the demo and unlock key at the same time.
