I did not think about it. If I had known it was an option I might have done that (and i remember being told it was an option, not sure why I overlooked it) because I haven't done anything with a troll before.

Hell, I haven't done anything with a human before. This is kinda my first ro-de-o.

Maybe next time.

Quick poll: How many people decided against making a troll character because you figured a ton of people were gonna make troll characters?

*Raises hand*

Just kidding. The planned characters came mostly from being bombarded by ideas from you guys that you aren't totally aware of.

And then boner was an ol' skool gamer kid.

But honestly there's nothing wrong with fancharacters...so long as they don't interact with the originals much.

****, Zach better never come across Harriett's smutty fanfiction or he's gonna end up transforming into an Hero of Rage.

And snowy's got it right: fan characters stay the hell away from the original characters.

I figured there would be a fair number of troll representation, though also questioned how viable trolls would really be since they are only in homestuck due to a particular sequence of events that THIS game would surely not completely reenact.

Though, the point of 'to be or not be a troll' was pretty much rendered moot by my already having decided on being a robot. Did briefly consider being a troll robot though >_>;;

Aww. But failure is always an option.

I was just kind of curious on the troll thing, since everyone seemed shocked we only had one person playing a troll. I never really gave it much consideration myself, mainly because the less I have to deal with troll romance the better.

An option yes, a requirement no. Sburb never creates a party that is bound to fail, though it may give it loooooong odds.

(unless someone draws the Sylph of Rage, the Mage of Equilibrium, or the Jack of Chaos, but I doubt it'll happen!)

A game like Homestuck set in a different universe that really likes two's. It's open to new applicants still and we'd be more than happy to clear any questions about the original comic you might have!

Imagine you are watching a show and really like the show and the show suddenly decides to take a year long break. You are so obsessed with the show that you cannot go a day without wrapping yourself in its comforting mythos and signature elements that make the show what it is. So you seek out a group of people like yourself and start role playing.

That is what this is. Therapy.

And like a bolt from the blue, it's time for the Hero Review!

The Bard:

To Rock, and not to Roll. The Bard is perhaps the most ally-dependent class of all: while their sonic onslaughts can be fearsome, they are nothing compared to what a Bard can do when working in concert with his allies. Blades from all angles, walls of bullets, speeds far in excess of sound...all these and more are possibilities when the Bard begins to jam. Rock and Roll can truly change the world if the tune is good enough, and the Bard has all the cool tunes.

Class Bonus:

Performance Arts ability unlocked. Buff Abilities have their base cost (i. e. the cost before modifiers are applied) reduced by 20%.

The Tactician:

The Seer beats Sburb by being handed a walkthrough to make sense of. The Tactician beats Sburb by finding the best possible course of an action in the scenarios he's given. A Tactician can be a canny commander, a charismatic leader, or a master of improvisation. His weapons are not those on his Strife Specibi, but the friends he commands to victory. Woe betide the Black King and Queen if they underestimate the Tactician, for he is peerless among the commanders who take to the Battlefield.

Class Bonus:

Combination Attacks increase the damage dealt or healed by 20%, though their cost increases by 10%.

Element 6: Heaven

The Hero of Heaven feels Skaia's call more strongly than anyone else. In his dreams, he has seen the clouds even though he is not a Seer. In his heart, he feels the fears and joys of the Consorts he has yet to meet. He is tied to the game, and the fate of the session will determine his own. There is no Hero of Heaven who falls so that others may succeed: as the one chosen by Skaia and its moons, when he falls, so falls the Incipisphere itself. He is the Hero of the Many Lands, the Savior of the Eternal Battlefield, and with their powers being his to command, little can stand in his way.

Element Bonus:

Lesser Heavenguards and Skyrenders become available. In some cases, Greater Heavenguards and Skyrenders may become available.

And for the next group of Heros, an entirely new set!

The Seeker:

Life is a never-ending quest. No one is ever truly satisfied with what he has, and the Seeker least of all. His existence within Sburb is a constant search for something...he can't quite put it to words, but he knows it's out there. His Element calls him strongly, urging him to never stop moving forward, to keep learning and discovering, and in his pursuits, to grow wise. All Seekers begin as fools, and those who succeed are the ones who learn from their experiences. The Seeker is one of the most flexible classes: it does not require its Hero to shy away from others, or to follow them, nor does it ask for great sacrifices or the ability to endure suffering and pain. All that it requires is passion: the desire to keep on looking for what you long for in your heart of hearts, even if sometimes it looks like you will never find it.

Class Bonus:

Skill Leveling mechanics are unlocked. After a certain number of uses, the achievement of a specific task, or both, the Seekers' skills may increase in power or gain added functionalities.

The Tinker:

The quintessential gadgeteer and inventor, the Tinker has a passion for discovery and experimentation that is unrivaled by any other classes. The joy that the Tinker experiences from simply spending time with his Alchemiter is like the glee of a child who has been handed a new toy. Most Tinkers are highly analytical and cerebral, using their smarts and technical knowledge to pull their parties through the Medium. In their case, brains truly triumph over brawn.

Class Bonus:

When gaining a Style bonus to damage, increase the bonus by 50%.

Element 7: Breath

Wind, life and motion. Breath can be many things: the air that comes in and out of our lungs; The tornados that rip Kings and Queens to pieces; The kiss that brings a dead player back to life. In spite of its seemingly unassuming abilities, it is amongst the most useful of all Elements, thanks to its wide portfolio. With a mixture of heavy firepower and subtle finesse, no other element is quite as well-suited for adapting to the changing circumstances, except perhaps for Revolution. Truly, a breathtaking Element to be a Hero of.

Element Bonus:

Lesser Guile Gales become available. Lesser Tornadominations become available. In some cases, Greater Guile Gales and Tornadominations may become available.
