I've played through and loved Broken Sword 1-3 as well as the Monkey Island series.

What are some similar games in the genre? Ideally, I don't want the graphics to be any less advanced than Broken Sword, which is why I didn't play early Monkey Island until it was repackaged on XBL.

Sam & Max Hit the Road
Full Throttle
Toonstruck
Grim Fandango

And if you want something a little more serious (as in, not outright comedy, but still humorous), The Longest Journey. You can get it from GOG.com. And the Gabriel Knight and Tex Murphy series, although they might fall below your graphical threshold.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and in case you didn't know, there is actually a Broken Sword 4 (subtitled The Angel of Death), but I've not played it yet.

Hmm, Longest Journey looks pretty cool actually, might check that one out. I played Grim Fandango for a little while but for some odd reason it never really pulled me in and I ended up quitting it.

Came in here to recommend TLJ. Although the sequel is probably better left alone due to never finishing the story. And Telltale games, of course. I played Sam & Max, Monkey Island and Wallace & Gromit. They're all quality.
