For the past four or five months of doing my business, I've been noticing blood on the tp after I've wiped. This isn't every time, just occasionally. Usually off and on for a week, followed by a week of normal poops. The bloody tp usually follows an espescially painful dump, where the turd is particularly hard and jagged. There's only blood on the tp, not actually in the poo. The amount of blood varies - sometimes it's just a streak, other times it's quite a bit.
I've done the webmd thing, and it's given me lots of options from ulcers to hemorroids to colon cancer. When it started, I did what I normally do and just waited for it to go away. Well, it hasn't, and I'm thinking maybe I ought to do something. Do I need to set up an appointment with the butt doctor? Should I try some OTC's? Does this just happen when you get older (I'm 26)? I know someone here has gone through this or knows someone who has at least.
Help me out, Board 8! And don't close this topic, mods.
Okay, gonna go buy some on my lunch break. I'll keep you informed, Board 8!
Never before have I felt this close to a videogame character, but now I feel a special kinship with Marvin Grossberg. My hemmoroids are doing a ballet!
Okay. Instead of buying Preparation H, I remembered that I haven't eaten any vegetables since Monday. I usually eat a ton of veggies, but I've been broke lately and just been eating cereal and milk and fruit. So for lunch I had a big plate of steamed broccoli, kale and corn ; we'll see if that helps.
Although the cereal was raisin bran, so I think I've been getting fiber. Maybe I need to eat meat? I haven't eaten meat since Monday either. Maybe I've been eating too much fiber! I need a personal nutritionist / chef.
It sounds like you either have hemorrhoids or your hard poos are cutting up your rectum. I once lacerated the inside of rectum and had bloody poos for a day or two.

My Japanese alter-ego. Hey all this is Bartz btw.
Lemme tellya, I had a bit of that problem myself few years ago. For one thing switching to some of those flushable cottonelle thangs for TP will help your butt.
And maybe look into taking some fiber tablets with breakfast or something, more fiber in diet, work on making your crap LIGHTNING and THUNDER.

Generally speaking, blood that's bright red isn't cause for concern. Blood that's in the stool is generally darker, and that's what you should see a doctor about.
