I have lots of art major friends and I don't think any of them actually make money off it in any way....so I have no idea. I guess first just ask your friends/family if they would pay you for having anything done? probably won't amount to much, but worth a try. maybe.

Who else have you drawn a lot? Nio and Gen could probably be in the group picture, they seem to be around a lot in your drawing topics. Who else do you tend to draw a lot as a result of these topics?

Also on your money situation, maybe you could look into like an advertising gig of some sort, like I know they like to have people draw stuff and come up with designs for their ads and whatnot. Maybe try that.

what if i made like a wallpaper based on this board. or a comic, like the board 8 history ones, but drawn better. would anyone pay like a dollar or two for a pdf of that

I'm sure quite a few of us would, but that still wouldn't be enough to make a significant amount of money at all... And I'm poor as well.

Put together a portfolio.

Yeah it might be full of some random pictures of b8ers that wont mean anything to them, but they wont know the story behind the pictures, all they will see is some kickass artwork in a variety of styles.

And when you see a job that requires experience just find a way to speak personally to someone who has actual power and insist that they look at the portfolio in lieu of actual experience.

"Please sir, take a minute to examine my portfolio and let my work speak for itself".

You might have to ruffle a few feathers to get that chance, but honestly you've been doing this stuff for years now and even if you don't have paid experience you still have some measure of equivalent experience.

That is my suggestion anyways.

Don't just list it on your resume, make sure they see it.

Even if that requires grabbing them by the scruff of the neck and forcing them to look.

I'm having the same issue fr0q. Kind of anyway. I've got a pretty good portfolio of stuff, but no one wants you unless you've got experience unfortunately.
