It's really just personal preference. The different gym leader has the exact same team, and you meet both, you just only fight the one. Other than that, really it comes down to Zekrom vs. Resharim and Thundurus vs. Tornadus.

I'm a much bigger fan of White's exclusives, although Black City is nice if you have friends with the game. If you don't, Black City/White Forest really won't matter for much.
