Ha, been there. I watched like somewhere into season 4 or 5. Like the show, great cast, lotta so-so eps.

Well, I was watching it with a couple friends, one got bored around season 3, the other I guess around season 5. I watched a few more episodes, but yeah just never got around to it. I gotta admit, just find a lot of the episodes kind of boring, but I respect the show.

When you get 1 episode a week for 7 seasons its easier to get through the whole thing.

It doesn't get good overall until the third and fourth seasons. Then it's pretty great with the occasional dud. But there are some good episodes early on despite that.

That's not even the best Lore episode! Might be the worst, in fact. Lore episodes too good, up there with Gowron episodes but probably worse than Q episodes.

DS9 superior however

I'd like to give DS9 a shot one day, but the few episodes I've seen haven't impressed me very much. It probably doesn't help that the first one I ever saw was the one where they play baseball against some Vulcans.

if you're looking to see a good DS9 episode that might draw you into the series without being too spoilerific, I suggest Duet from Season 1. I'm not sure I like DS9 more than TNG but they're pretty close. Neither is as good as TOS though!

That one actually turns out a lot better once you've seen the six seasons before it. There's a lot of stuff that's just much more enjoyable once you really get to know the characters.

But no, probably not the best to see first at all.
