Since their awesome 2010 match, both have been getting exposure. Ryu is of course one of the faces of MvC3 and will soon also be highlighting SFxT. Many will probably argue, however, that Dante's inclusion in MvC3 is a bigger deal than any fighting game Ryu can get because it's Dante's first venture outside DMC and exposes him to a new fanbase. Close one.

I might have gone with Dante... but the unexpected x-factor here is the new DMC redesign. Even if he doesn't get a nu-Dante pic (he won't), the redesign still has fans vowing bloodshed. It has left a bad taste in people's mouths. Can't bet on someone with that kind of baggage!

I'd take Dante only because he's one of my favorite characters. Dante could easily break from top mid-high to top tier if the new DMC turns out to be incredible. He's really popular, despite action games not being very popular on this site.

Now he has MvC3. Actually, I don't know. I guess it wouldn't be so far fetched to say Dante could win. I forgot about MvC3 until just now.

Yeah either way, I'd pick Dante in my bracket.

The ball's on Dante's court to prove himself. I'd take Ryu, but stay on the lookout for an upset. If it was close it could make for an awesome rivalry though!

Well he was also in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, and Viewtifule Joe (PS2 version).
