Warning: stupidity and lack of focus during this experience
So this is what went down. Came out of work to catch the subway, like midafternoon, very tired. I thought the subway was about to leave. So I run into the last car. I proceeded to go in between cars to go to the 2nd car. While the cars are stationary. aka not moving.
So I come into the 2nd car, and there are three guys. One Hispanic looking guy wearing a polo, a white guy wearing a backwards Met cap in polo, and a tall white guy wearing a t-shirt. They touch my arm and are like "yo i'm police, no crossing in between cars." The hispanic guy flashes a badge. Just a metal shield kind of thing. They looked like bums, but I soon learned that that's the point -_-
So I thought they were goons and were just ****ing with me, faking to be cops and mess with me. And plus as far as I was concerned up until this point, you CAN move in between cars as long as the train is not in motion. I mean after all, during the train rides there's announcements that say, "Attn passengers, it is illegal to transfer between cars while the train is in motion, if a cop catches you while it's in motion.. etc etc" So I thought they were ****ing with me and that that it was a fake badge or something..
So I go into the 3rd car, and the Hispanic cop follows me. He's like, alright man, come out side, give me some ID. I'm thinking to myself" are you ****ing kidding me" and he writes me up. He doesn't buy any of my excuses, cause I blew off his warning which was dumb. And he said there's no moving in between cars under any circumstance, which was news to me..
So yeah. There goes $100. I learned from my stupidity, hopefully you will too!
