I'm not going to pretend it isn't a big hole to jump into! I reread it a year ago when I was sick. Literally did nothing for 2 days except read Berserk and eat. That's nearly 32 to reread.

Well generally speaking I will always enjoy a show that has an awesome lead character. So I understood Berserk should be in my wheelhouse.

Like look at my top ten and it's almost all 'Amazing main characters' Like if I made a top ten anime character list at least half of them would be the main characters of those shows.

I am pretty easy to please tbh

And JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but that's even more of a plunge than Berserk. Easily my favorite manga of all time, though.

The manga is way better than the anime imo, and new chapters are currently coming out.

I'm really confused about the HxH situation.

First I hear he's dying, then injured, and now that he just doesn't feel like doing it anymore. I remember seeing some scans from recent issues a few years ago and they looked terrible (artwise).

Anime is worth it for blue hair Hisoka, though.

Oh, I see. Terrible is still really strong, the beginning and ending are definitely touched up and polished in the anime, but Togashi's art can't be replaced! Especially in certain scenes.

See the problem I have for the HxH is I can't take it very seriously anymore. Like, I understand the man is sick so his art at times is going to suffer a lot but it really just became a joke for a long time there. I am caught up with the Manga and I do still enjoy it, but there is a black abyss there that shouldn't be there. Maybe it should be in my top ten, but that art sometimes just makes me very sad. Also currently the shark has been jumped, which colors my opinion of it.

I think Togashi (YYH, HXH author) is just really lazy or depressed.

I don't know what scans you saw, but I know that there are chapters he drew that were the equivalent of sketches. He redrew them for the volumes, and nonetheless the really recent stuff has been drawn acceptably.

Acceptably meaning, not a whole lot of backgrounds, and not much detail, but very clean. And then sometimes you can tell he really liked a panel or page and you get this awesome explosion of art.

I've heard good things, but this is probably one of the highest rated shows I have no interest in watching.

2. Haruhi (Seasons 1 and 2 + Movie)
I love Haruhi, but I have a hard time giving it such a high placing if you add in season 2.

3. Detective Conan
I've seen a good portion of episodes (okay, maybe like 30?) Decent and enjoyable, but I'm not sure where the love comes from for this.

4. Full Metal Panic (All of it averaged)
Been on a to watch list for a while, but is currently suffering from low priority.

5. Juuni Kokuki
Eh.

Ahwww Yeah.

7. Black Lagoon
This is a great action shootem up show. I personally think it would be great if a western studio made it into a live action, directed by Martin Scorsese
