I honestly love maplejet's topics. They are just so cartoonish I can't help but love them.

I'm just curious why a 27 year old cares what anybody says about him on a gaming message board.

Because he lacks self-confidence and his personal life is a failure. I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm saying this because those are areas in which the guy really needs to improve himself if he's going to be happy

mapes honestly needs to close ALL his online accounts, get a job and start an exercise regimen, among other things.

Does anyone remember that Youtube video he made back in the day to yell at Emennius, and then he took it down because everyone was making fun of him and immediately started loving Em because of it? That's the sort of thing mapes doesn't "get" and the only one who can help him is himself.

Let me put it this way:

In a lot of ways, I was a lot like Maplejet. I'm in my mid-20s, was out of work and school (had medical issues and am now healed up and back on my feet, but it's kind of my fault I got sick to begin with), have taken Internet **** WAY too seriously (because I've had little else to do), and I was having heart palpitations from extreme obesity (I used to be 330 lbs, at only 5'10. I'm down to 270, which is still very big, but major progress). I know what it's like to sit on my ass and get angry about how people treated me and such. The difference is: I grew up, and like Ulti suggests for MJ, I started working out and withdrew from taking the Internet uber seriously.

In contrast...

Maplejet still sends people harsh PMs on this site and last.fm, and threatens and blocks people if he hears one little anything that rubs him the wrong way.

Furthermore: B8 has ALWAYS been a place to goof off and perhaps make casual e-buddies. Anyone who comes here expecting to be taken God-seriously all the time is, to say the least, naive.
