Found out that two of my best friends will be breaking up, and that I won't be seeing one of them pretty much ever again. They were attached to the hip for four years, and the reason for the split is so ****ing stupid. I'm living with the one who's being dumped, I'm unfortunately going to have to pick a side here and it's obvious which side I'm picking. As a result of this I won't be able to see the dumper, and I will also be losing two other very good friends.
This sucks.

Well, I'll be living with the guy who gets dumped. The girl who's dumping him lives with two girls that I hang out with all the time. Once it happens, it really won't be the same ever again. They will have taken their side, and I will have taken mine.
And to further clarify why I'm bummed about this, we are a small group of ~8 people who stayed in town after we graduated from college. All our other friends went off to seek out other pursuits. The fact that the group is essentially being split in half just...sucks.

When I broke up with my girlfriend in South Dakota, our "group" split up.
I got everyone in the group besides her though so I guess I shouldn't complain but it still sucked and we packed it up and moved to Texas almost immediately afterward.

Yeah, I kinda imagined your move to texas was at least partially motivated by that break up. And I imagine that was far worse than what I'm feeling now, it's just that I can't go to sleep when I'm drunk so I thought I'd pass the time by b****ing here.

And it's kinda funny. Earlier in the year, I briefly dated a girl, who about six months prior had hooked up with another girl in my 'group'. I hadn't really thought anything of it when I started dating her, but the girl in my group was incredibly hurt by my dating her. It took about four months for me to patch things up, despite me and this girl only dating for like three weeks. Finally, after all this time, we're closer than ever. And now we're gonna be split by this inevitable break-up. Blech.

No, in fact, less than two hours ago I actually went up to her apartment to apologize.
I told her I'd pick her up from the car rental place tonight and I totally forgot and I went to the movies with some friends. So I didn't get her texts/messages until after the movie (which ended at like midnight).
So I went up there because I honestly felt like a terrible person and then I had to listen to her whine about completely unrelated things for like half an hour. But in the end it was worth it.
And I don't move until the end of August. But we might move sooner since two of the three of us are teachers and school will have started by then. Either way, should be soon!

Haha, the girl who was pissed with me is a pretty staunch lesbian. A cute lesbian, but I've seen enough guys grow crushes on her to know it's a waste of time. And the girl we both dated ended up leaving me for an ex-girlfriend of her's who is so mentally unstable that she was about to commit suicide at the sight of me dating this gal. Yup.
