I liked the blonde one the most, mostly because well blondes are a dying race in Mass Effect universe so having the Shepard be one would be pretty wicked. I only dislike the Sheps with short hair, but all the ones with long hair are pretty fine. I'd go

5 > 4 > 3 > 6 >>>> 2 > 1

I honestly prefer the default Jane Shepard more than any of those.

I don't care for the design of #5 much. Looks too much like a supermodel and not enough like a badass commander. I could live with any of the others.

I agree that Jane should be the basis for any 'iconic' FemShep they come up with. From those, I'd say 5's face and 6's hairstyle (but red, FemShep has to be a redhead) would be the best combination.

Also, is it just me or does 1 look like Cassandra from DA2?

I watch Planet Chasers Starlight Excellent all day, every day.

That style is just not Mass Effect at all. I'm not saying she looks like Sephiroth or anything but relatively speaking she looks like you dropped Sephiroth into a World War II movie. It's jarring.

I will agree that from a pure design standpoint, 4 trumps them all. 1-3 look like generic NPCs, 5 might be a bit too "Supermodelish" for some, and 6 has some 50s hair cut when this takes place in the future.

4 actually looks like a really unique design, which is something you want for a main character

Of course no in game has a haircut like that, Mass Effect 3 is gonna have way more customization options and is graphically better, so the hairstyles in ME2 aren't the only ones.
