I went on a hiatus from around the death of the Gamecube until I got an Xbox 360 this past spring. Sure, I had flings in the meantime - I had a brief but star-crossed romance with my Wii for a year or so before it began to bore me, Tiger Woods or not. Oh, and how could I forget about the brief amount of time where I got heavy into Animal Crossing DS? Oh, such good memories.

So, so much time wasted delivering shirts for animals. *shudder*

And so it would seem that I'm gaming again! I've beaten Mass Effect (with plans to play both 2 and 3, obvz), Portal 2 (the single player campaign, at least), Castle Crashers, and GTAIV (well, almost - I have a handful of missions left, apparently... but I'm almost done!). I've started but not finished Alan Wake, BioShock, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Oblivion, and Plants vs. Zombies.

Lately I've been playing the hell out of SSFIV:AE, Forza 3, and Fable 2. This might turn into a sporadically updated, loosely organized hodge-podge-style playthrough topic of some sort, at least if there's any interest.

GT: Antarcticaust if any of you want to get TOTALLY STOMPED BY DUDLEY* sometime.

*You probably won't get stomped by Dudley anytime.

I'd recommend Mortal Kombat if you want to play more fighting games. Also, if you're into shooters, Halo: Reach is solid.

You unlock the ability to use antidotes in chapter 4. I'd say that's pretty open!

Castle Crashers is a blast if you're playing with other people. I probably wouldn't pick it up if it's just going to be you playing, though.

I thought GTAIV was great! Then again, for whatever reason I was never a big fan of the older GTAs.

I need to go back and play them again, though, as I've been playing Saints Row and SR2 recently and I like those games.

Anyway, you should definitely jump on Mass Effect 2 as soon as you can. Great game. Batman: Arkham Asylum is another must play.

Forza 3 the best. Rock the Buick Regal GNX with the Z06 engine and tune that for acceleration .. Awww yeeeah.

I've spent my life researching the multiples of zero and it has amounted to nothing.

Yeah man! I feel like racing games get a pretty crummy rap a lot of the time, but that game (and the Gran Turismo games) is so off-the-charts great that it boggles my mind. I've been playing a lot of SSFIV:AE lately, and I can tell that I'm getting better because I'm not losing as much, but it's not concrete. With Forza there's definitely an incentive to shave those few hundredths of a second off your time, be it personal motivation or the need to get your name on the charts. So so good.

I second Dirt. Especially Dirt 3. They're fantastic games. I haven't got a chance to check out the new Hot Pursuit, however.

I played the demo of it and it didn't really strike me as anything worth talking about. I'm not really big into JRPGs, anyhow, and am only really playing FFXIII because I have this thing where I tolerate FF games (although XIII is shaping up to be on the same level as VIII, which isn't good).
