And you'll have to help with games/tournaments on weekends. But I feel like that really, really helped me get this job. I kind of made a name for myself as a really hard worker and the kids really liked me because when I "coached" I actually played tennis with them the entire time...as opposed to doing nothing which some people do. But yeah the money situation was rough. They kept missing problems because they'd try to solve like 5/4 and get 0.8. And their algebra, despite having already "passed" it, was almost nonexistent. Oh, believe me, I know this all too well. I TA for Gen Chem at my University and it's horrifying at the gaps in their math knowledge. Last year me and the head JV coach did more for this program, and still do more for it in terms of summer stuff and open gyms and stuff, than the head varsity coach.
