all you need

my book store had a midnight release which was pretty crazy. 125 copies gone in 2 hours. We're a pretty small store and we usually carry about 5 copies of a new, hyped book in store and another 10 in storage. I'll probably get around to reading it when the next shipment comes in. Don't think I'll buy it; I'll probably just read it off the shelf and wait for the trade.

Well written review of Dance by Jeff VanderMeer, the best American fantasy author out there. He also said this at the end of his Omnivoracious post: "For my part, I am going to contribute to buying a giant padded, sterilized clear bubble for Martin to travel around in until well after he finishes the series. No airplanes. No random buses tearing around corners. The best possible health care. Let not a hair on his head be disturbed for the duration and long after."
