Dungeons are long term investments as they drop key items for fusions. Especially once you get boss rushes, then in half a days time you can get several key ingredients for high profit items.
OR if you really want to like drag it out you can tackle a complete dungeon all at once and drag all the items back. More profitable, but also takes up like 20x the time.
From: Twilight the Fox | #052 Is there any way to boost the amount of items you can carry? This 20 item limit drives me insane with all the mystery ingredients.

So I've been playing, and I lost at the second debt payment. Then I found out how it looped back, and kept playing. Made it to the third payment, and realized I wasn't going to make 10k that day alone. Perhaps I could have if I really wanted to, but instead I just bought as many expensive items as I could and looped back, completely prepared. Now I'm blitzing through, prioritizing making money so I don't loop again, but who knows?
Is there actual tactic to how you set up items that aren't in the window? Does it really matter at that point other than where they are? I typically place like items and the such, but I don't always pay too much attention.

And we're back! Screw opening the store, we go with Louie once again to the Hall of Trials, where I easily obtain some decent stock that I otherwise likely wouldn't have been able to by operating the store. For safety's sake, I buy a few cheap things at the Merchant's Guild for the possibility that customers throw wacky orders at me. Day 3 Current Cash: 20 pix Merchant Level 7
ITEM ORDERS EVERYWHEEEERE. Not necessarily a bad thing, though. First off, I get this little brat who thinks he's tough coming in and demanding wacky items that'll necessitate a trip back to the Jade Way, and then the townspeople come in and ask for random stuff 2 and 3 days from now, which shouldn't be too big of a problem to fulfill. Odd thing is, even though the Guild shows that I've beaten the Jade Way (...so I guess dungeon progress goes through even if I have to redo the Trials?), Charme still hasn't shown up. SADNESS.

Let's go spelunking!
...And of course, by spelunking, I mean shopping because the Guild is closed today. Hnnngh. I stock up again and grab the items for the orders, and head back to the store. Nothing too notable about the two shop periods; I've managed to avoid angering my customers with outrageous prices, but I haven't been able to get their perfect price. Still, the increase in NearPins is nice. I head out at night to replenish my stock again, and the dynamic duo worry the Guild Master is a thief. Horrors! Annnnnd magic boy is back. Wheee. He pesters me about his order, which I haven't been able to fulfill because EVERYONE keeps bothering me with orders auugh. Fortunately, I fulfilled both of today's orders in the morning, so I spend the rest of the day in the Jade Way, smashing things~ I went through the first 10 floors, and I snagged a charred lizard, a slime stone, and some nut mix, as well as various ingredients and a piece of armor. A nice haul, I should think! Sadly, I still lack the slime liver that Callilou wants.
I wonder if they have a different scene for Callilou's entrance if I already have his requested items? may be worth it to fail this loop just to see that~
