Maury: If my children were dating anyone 2 years older than me I would be very upset.

They actually insinuated at one point that the father of a 27 year old should have to approve her relationship with a 58 year old. What is this, the 1800's? She's a grown woman. Sure the age gap is big, but the show was insinuating that there was something morally wrong about this kind of relationship.

Although I don't like Maury in most cases, I agree with him here. I would feel very uncomfortable if my daughter dated someone as old or older than me. I know I couldn't stop her, but it would hurt my relationship with her if she did that.
