Then I saw the rebuttal speech and all I could think was "What the fuck" It seemed like a prank at first like even when trying to appeal to women Republicans just cannot stop their sexism by sticking her in a kitchen and having her say being a mom is more important than her job, not that there's anything wrong with that belief, looking at you, boebert!, it's just imagery like that can't be so on the nose outside of a parody.

If independents and centrals didn't make up their minds after witnessing this I don't think they ever will and that's just imagery, it was downhill from there with the speech itself being nothing but blaming Biden for stuff they either did, refused to do or outright obstructed very publicly and openly but I think everyone agrees that the delivery was the true finishing blow, this woman came across as either insane, which is pretty common in the republican party or fake as hell trying her best to win that "Best actress" award that elluded her in high school., if she truly was on Trump's shortlist for VP she's gone now, I'm sure the MAGA crowd hated this even if Trump posted praise for it, don't worry he'll do what he always does and just refuse to acknowledge he ever praised her or knew who she was the moment someone asks him about it.

Sorry I'm late to this the toriyama stuff took priority

I think with how well Biden's speech was. Trump and his handlers are going to be less willing to want to have Trump participate in any debates, because they know Biden will likely hammer him hard and make him look like the wanna be fascist fool he is to the general public. Biden will make sure to remind people of all Trump's misdeeds when he was president, including his role in appointing 3 conservative judges to overturn Roe, and that he's running on nothing in terms of policy other than revenge against his enemies and fascism.

He would and he wouldnt.
You cant debate or argue with someone who makes up stats, facts and everything they say.
you can prove youre right 100% but it wont matter at all, especially to his followers,

Theres absolutely zero reason to have any debate, I think it could only hurt Biden no matter how right or well he does

Also in a live debate you cant constantly bring up proof, stats and statistics to counter showing how wrong Trump is every 20 seconds

I hope homemaker Kate gets picked to be Trump's #2 so that she debates Vice Pitbull Harris and is asked about the border bill she helped author then voted against. No principles, no backbone, all grift.

The problem is whether people will hear it. Biden gives plenty of good speeches. The issue is the media never covers those parts. It's always a 4 second sound but where his impediment flares up. Meanwhile, they'll cover Trump's non-stop and never bring up concerns about mental state

An actual debate about policy? Absolutely.

Trump doesn't do that though. He'll break all the rules of the debate to bully. He'll try to humiliate Biden and the moderator. Then there's the onslaught of lies, as RamenNoodles pointed out. Even if Biden was in his prime, it'd be impossible for him to fact check them all in the small amount of time provided for a rebuttal. No one could. Trump would just turn the debate into another one of his campaign rallies.

And we saw what happened at the State of the Union when MTG goaded Biden, and he went off script to talk about "illegals". Trump would be so much worse.

If I was Biden's campaign strategist I'd be very concerned about him "debating" Trump.
