I wonder if a game could get away with having real voice actors do 99% of the VA in a game, but have an AI programmed on their voice insert player-variable text like names into their dialogue? Actors and AI working together rather than AI straight up stealing their jobs.

There are some mobile games that are fully voice acted with a nameable protagonist, and they have microtransactions where you can pay the voice actor to say your name in-game.

For that trailer...

They've changed the dialog some. In the original it was just "Don't look up" (and was part of the trailer too)

Tokimeki Memorial 2 on PS1 had a whole system where you could insert your character's name. You even selected the meter and It took up an entire PS1 memory card to create the voice for a single character in the game to say your name.

It's funny cuz new anime fans might think that's what the game is and then they get heavy depression for 100 hours straight instead
