and this time i did everything i could to get her approval up
is there just no way to get her by this point?

There's some gimmick you have to do with Karlach in Act 1 (beyond the infernal iron) to start the romance. It's easy to miss apparently and I did as well.

It's funny how so many Act 2 dialogues proceed as if the romance is happening and then fizzle out awkwardly.

the game had a minor glitch, where in the camp *heavy act 3 spoilers* after killing Minsc (I turned on non-lethal, but he still died, for some reason), Karlach was like, "Minsc is great!"

I couldn't recruit him anyway, since Jaehira died during the attack in act 2

Non-lethal only works for melee attacks, that'll mess it up sometimes.

So what do people think of the returning OG characters?

Jaheria and Minsc are both pretty great and in keeping with what they were like in the previous games, but the other two really don't feel like them.

Both Viconia and Sarevok don't really fit with how they ended up in Throne of Bhaal, even not redeemed.

Sarevok never gave two shits about Bhaal, and only about his own ascension and pretty sure he vows to never be a slave to another or something like that as well.

And Viconia only worships Shar due to not wanting to torture and harm a child. She was never the 'evil for lols' and certainly not to a child. She worshipped Shar out of a need for survival after Lloth got pissy and cast her out.

At least both were supposedly down to a WotC mandate, but both are really just terribly done and I'd rather consider them not the characters we knew.

Really my only criticism of the game, ending issues aside. Loving it and about to play through the horror of durge soon.

Major Spoilers:

So, I'm playing a game with just myself (I've got a couch co-op with my wife, and a 4 player game going either friends). I'm trying to take different actions than what I've done in my previous games and it's going well until I get back to camp one night and one of my camp homies has a knife to my other camp homie's neck. I keep my distance saying nothing to see how it will play out.....

fucking shadow heart straight up cuts open La'zeal's throat and stabs her!!!!!!! That shit was insane.

This is why I love the game. Am working on three different playthroughs and this one moment in my latest got me all shook.

I read that you have to cool her off with a spell or a water or something to be able to initiate a dialogue that lets you touch her after you use the first infernal iron in Act 1 . I don't know if that's true or if it happens outside of dialogue, but I never got prompted for this and was never able to do anything with Karlach at the party.

watched a video on Karlach guide, and it seems that after you give the first Infernal Iron to fix her heart, and she goes like "it didn't cool me down, but did juice me up"
seems like you can answer "let's find something for you to hit", something else similar and something about wanting to touch her

maybe that's the bottle neck, cause i'm sure i chose the hitting stuff one, as sometimes i'm too quick in clicking something before reading all of them

Did you get the camp event before where she totally comes onto you? She wakes you up all tipsy and says she wants to ride you lol

A complaint I have is how close you need to get to waypoints to activate them. It's crazy how long I've been in act 3 without getting the City Sewers waypoint.

I feel like I've mapped out all of the lower city and sewers and still haven't found an entrance to Orin's headquarters. I've found the place underneath the tombstone shop but it seemed to be a dead end

I rescued Halain in Act1, there waa aupposed to be a party in my camp, ut I think since I went to the mountain pass it moved me to act 2 and the party never happens. Still havnet seen Halsin anywhere. Is it glitched now?

The mountain pass has the little warning before you enter, but it's still considered part of Act 1.

From my experience going into the mountain pass will fast forward the refugee questline. The Tieflings just move out and the goblins will kill off the druids after a long rest. Im not sure if it affects anything else in Act 1 like the Underdark.

Yes he said wed meet in the canp. I did go and there was a party but I reloaded and continued. And later there is no party but wuest still says I need to talk to zelvor and there is a party at camp.

I'm so annoyed with myself. I straight up found the way to Orin's place near the start of my time in the lower city, but it didn't get marked on my map and I completely forgot about it. Because the area was already revealed including a waypoint, I never thought to look there again

That one's a little borked.

I got a lot of mileage out of Freecast, which is a better version. Completely free Heightened Disintegrate followed by a Quickened whatever is rough for everyone involved.

Am I the one only who feels that most of the feats are kind of useless because the rest are kind of overpowered? For example Spell Sniper and War Caster are staples on just about every spellcaster. The last feat could be anything really.

Whenever you dismissed a party member, they now automatically gave you
  • All 'orange' items (quest items)
  • Their alchemy bag
  • Their camp supply bag
  • Their Keychain
  • Maybe other stuff
In addition to cluttering your main character's inventory, all this stuff has weight. Especially with quest items, you can have something from a long since completed quest be marked as that and stuffed in your pockets.

It just made juggling party members even more tedious than it already is.

Ok seems I cant get Halsin anymore ans its bugged.

He still hangs in the grove, but I can ask how he fares at the camp.

It ruins the questline in Act 2
Waking up art and Loft the Shadow Curse, I can tell Haldon in the grove about Art, he has to go there at once. But then he isnt anywhere, the woman at the bed by Art says So this is Hason roght? Meh kinda annoying bug.

I cleared up my inventory by just putting things in bags
So one bag for special arrows, one bag for potions etc

But what i really need now is a way to name the bags
