Only ever played the big ticket PC game, it was a fun world to be in. Curious how the actual tabletop experience is.

Seems like a bit easier D&D and not so combat heavy. The dice rolls and stats etc seem a bit more simple.

I can't give you any advice about Vampire Masquerade, but if it's your first table top game, I can only recommend a very important thing:

You, as a group make the rules, and the GM enforces them. The rulebook is only a guideline.

If you think that something is simply annoying, talk about it as a group and don't be afraid to just the rule if everyone agrees with it.

Sounds fun! Never played Vampire but I'm a big fan of tabletop RPGs. It's always a bit confusing the first time but imo you get into it pretty quick.

Exactly. You are in a group of friends and family, so don't be afraid to fuck up as much as you want.

Especially the GM. He will be confronted with questions he has no way to answer, so he will have to pull an answer out of his ass on the spot many times. That takes some experience, but that's fine.

Last question a player gave me in that regard was "hey, if I drain a goblin of all his blood, how much blood could I get?"

Yeah I got bit overwhelmed by the 500 page book but Im watching videos and stuff that explain it and Im less confused.

Im liking the systems in this game, vampire mechanics and how important the backstory of your character is to build a vampire that makes sense in the context.

We are all new to tabletop except thr GM
who plays this game so its gonna be fun.
