Nowadays, there's always at least one chuckle fuck in the theater who can't keep their phone away for an hour and a half, let alone three hours.

Sat through Return of the King, Avengers Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Oppenheimer, without even once thinking of fiddling with my phone.

There's probably other 3 hour or near 3 hour long movies I've done this for too. The only breaks I take is if I have to go pee too bad.

Before the movie starts sure Ill use mine. But once the movie starts it goes away. I cant stand shitty theater etiquette. Usually why I go to the movies early on weekdays to avoid crowds.

Just sounds like the people in your area are inconsiderate. I've gone to 20+ movies in the last year and I've never seen anyone pull out their phone during the movie. During the previews yes, but not once the lights dim.

I definitely can at the theater.

I definitely can at home when Im watching a movie Ive never seen.

But sometimes I have difficulty when its a movie Ive seen a bunch of times and a friend decides that THATS when they want to talk to me lol.
