Buddy of mine has such a Dyson tower fan thing. It works great, is incredibly light (so can be moved in any room all the time) and isn't that loud. EDIT: But I'm not in Texas, so you may need something bigger ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm far from Texas, but I got a $70 tower fan from Honeywell and it's pretty decent. 5 different settings, it can rotate and comes with a remote. I wouldn't pay $400 for a fan. --- Save for your doomed future ... Copied to Clipboard!
