Sometimes I just wanna eke out my plot of fallow, irradiated land and turn it into a well-populated peasant paradise, with fruit trees, robot servants, and 20+ missile launchers. A bit too annoying to build on a new save, though, so I went back to my BOS-friendly (presumably) character that had enough badassitude to make jetpacks...no doubt financed by a hefty water farm.

I'm sure there's a mod to make it easier, but I found it kind of annoying to build in first person mode. I just needed a top down RTS type view to play Legos.

Wow. That looks much better than mine. The gas station was a cool settlement location athough I wish it was bigger.

Same! I'm glad the outpost building in Starfield looks like it's not in first person, from what little we've seen of it anyway.

I like settlements where you can have a lot of verticality. There's some area near that factory with all the flamethrower dudes where you can build a stairway/elevator up to the overpass and have them live in relative safety...if you patch the holes that lead to instant death (lol). That robot-operated hothouse has two levels of overpass for similar fun.

When I loaded in, I saw I had made (in 2021) a massive walkway network on Spectacle Island, no doubt in the hope of turning it into a cool area, but as with most things on console, actually inviting people there ruins some of the fun, and you can only get so many kicks from having death robots patrolling. I'm sure everything's more kickass on PC, of course.

I really enjoy that aspect of the game, just hate how glitchy and burdensome it gets.
