Cause until like literally last year I gave no fucks about any sports.

I did own and play a wrestling game for PS2, however I don't consider that a sports game in this sense.

Weird thing is I didn't even like wrestling, so I'm not sure why I had it.

I played Virtual Tennis, and enjoyed it, and would play it again.

I dont think my pc can handle them

I play MLB The Show '19 all the time.

I used to play Madden but I don't want to get sucked into MUT and playing franchise gets boring

I played MLB The Show up until recently. But it's beyond obvious at this point that the games only exist to focus on the microtransaction part of it all. Diamond Dynasty, MUT, and so on are the only parts that get any kind of real updates, while the other modes are forgotten about year after year.

Because I don't care about real sports either.

They suck

I used to. Then the microtransactions, and complexity spiked. I'm not interested in being the General Manager. Some series like FIFA also had a big rubberbanding issue too.

Other than not-sports games like Mario Tennis and whatnot I only ever enjoyed the EA Sports BIG titles, which are dead.

You shouldn't. At best, you should buy one every three to four years if you don't care about online or microtransactions. Of course, I saying that if you're going to be buying a sports game.

Aside from the AKI wrestling games for Nintendo 64, the only sports games I ever cared about were the arcadey ones.

If its a realistic sports game, I dont care about it because I dont care about sports. But if its a non-serious one that lets me do cool shit I might give it a look.

I used to. There haven't been many good rugby games for a while, I'll get the next highly rated one.

In general the quality of sports games seems to have declined, though to be fair how can they further innovate with FIFA or 2K games.

Also has anyone played Rider's Republic? It looks great.

Boring. Uncreative. Stale. And most realistic racing games too.

Cause I fucking suck at them. My friend whooped my ass in Madden and he wasn't even holding the controller half the time.

The score might end the same but the route to the finish (what happens) will be different every time. New experience every game.

Hell , I'm still seeing new defensive plays in MLB 23.
All the new dives, rollin in the dirt, throwing from your back on the ground is crazy.

I grew up in the time that when you found the game breaker player, team, or play and can always win then it just becomes boring and repetitive. I got bored.

That was a great game & series.

Cause my interest in sports is limited.

I used to play NBA2K a lot but devs decided to make everything about virtual currency and I bailed.

I used to play NHL games every here. I would make a fictional team with a fictional roster and play as many seasons as I could with it in Be a GM mode.

Then the games stagnated and they just kept pushing HUT, so I stopped.

I love sports games. Usually the most consistently fun games for me. Usually I just play either exhibition games or whatever season modes they have, I don't give a shit about all the nickel-and-dime modes.
