I didn't hear about this before but this is becoming a thing?! Why?! I live in Georiga but I'm quite close to Florida. Close enough that I go to Florida every now and then to handle some things. What the fuck? Who would think this was a good idea?

Florida is has effectively become a mini nation of right wing grifters and corporate whores

The populace can carry their guns wherever they please and don't have to inform anyone even the police if they have it
The roads will soon be full of radioactive cancer causing waste because Republicans got a big corporate bag of money for it
Teachers, Doctors and any line of work in Medical, Science and Technology have either become targets of the state should
Police have been given a green light to harass minorities of any kind and used as the governor's personal attack force
Corporations who don't bow down and donate get the Disney treatment but unlike Disney lack the ridiculous corporate lawyers

And of course some of the most oppresive anti abortion laws in the country and thanks to today's Supreme court ruling will definitely be the state with the most legal discrimination tactics based on gender, race, religion and of course class.

Not really, if someone was intending to do harm then this wouldn't matter either way. So it seems scary on paper but is really nothing to worry about.

If someone's decided that they're gomna run up on you with a gun in hand and commit a crime, they're gonna do it with or without this in place

Maybe this will make a criminal think twice before committing

This. Every time this comes up people always go "Oh well if someone is going to commit a crime anyway, they're not going to care about a concealed carry permit", as if that's the type of shooting these are supposed to prevent.

It's not. It's supposed to weed out average people who should not be carrying guns on them at all times to prevent shootings like "Guy shoots gas station attendant because said gas station doesn't accept Discover cards".

Does it? It's been green lit in mutiple states for a while now and nothing majors happened to my knowldge. Hell nobody even seemed to care until FL did it.

But now it's so much easier to do harm. It enables situations and scenarios where harm is more likely because there are now so many more opportunities to engage in it.

Nah. I'm from Canada and your obsession with guns is absolutely unnerving, especially given your daily mass shootings. I have no interest in being around people open carrying guns, especially since most states have zero background checks and you could drive a couple hours to one regardless. I'll spend my money elsewhere and not get shot.
