How do you rank it's ending among the Zelda franchise?

Might just be recency bias, but its in contention for number 1 with me.

Dragons and that final dive with the swelling orchestra really got me.

If you're including the final battle, Skyward Sword's probably #1. I like LttP's ending a lot too, since it has awesome music. This one was good though.

I think it's the best. Overall, I think the game's story is the best in the franchise. But the ending sequence is really special. I feel like its only real competition is WW.

Absolutely gutless

Oh man this act is forbidden and has extreme irreversible consequences so this is a major sacrifice for the greater good oh btw bullshit ghost magic reverses those irreversible consequences and you don't even remember those centuries as a dragon lol

I would say it works because the pathos comes from the heroism of Zelda's choice/her sacrifice. Good endings don't ruin tragic events - resurrections are fine. I think in this case the resurrection should have been delayed for a game perhaps. Have the follow-up dedicated to finding a way to cure Zelda. Make it a bit harder. But in general I think it's fine that she came back.
