Two big ones off the bat

The Last Policeman - A trilogy of books following a police officer trying to solve a murder set against the backdrop of society crumbling when it's revealed to the public a comet will impact in a year and end all life on Earth. Would make a great series of films or miniseries.

Ex Machina - An excellent comic series by Brian K Vaughn about a retired superhero who runs for, and wins, the mayor's office in New York City. The comic follows his tenure as Mayor. Could picture this as a really good prestige series on a network like HBO. Maybe like 4 seasons.

Saga - It should absolutely never be adapted under any circumstances but I'm surprised it hasn't been attempted.

Fairy tale characters flee to the human world after a mysterious adversary starts conquering theirs. We got A Wolf Among Us, but I'm surprised there's been no show. There was suspicion about ABC being in talks to make one and then deciding to air the very similar but distinct Once Upon A Time, but I think that wasn't really the case.

Yeah it was published by DC (under their Vertigo imprint) and they got a collected omnibus for it. It's a bit on the pricier side though, fair warning.

If you don't wanna shell out the $150, I use a different comic book store that usually has pretty good deals >_>

I remember hearing a story that way back in the day the head of Toonami pitched a MGS anime adaptation directly to Kojima.

Kojima's reaction was to point at him, say "Otaku" and laugh in his face.

Arthur Gordon Pym. Edgar Allan Poe is one of the three or four most adapted writers in history, but there has never been, as far as I can tell, a film adaptation of his only true novel.

Movie adaptation of The Tripods. There was a bbc mini series in the 70s or 80s that sucked

Saga hasn't finished, it's still just past the "mid-way point" according to the author... and his Y:The Last Man that was adapted to a TV Series was cancelled after one season, which doesn't bode well for future adaptions.

I played the wolf among us, and it was great. But it didnt seem like the series had a lot of potential. Just seemed like a generic crime thriller with a unique spin on fairy tale characters.

That's just because AWAU is a crime thriller. The comic is not. While the first story is about trying to figure out who murdered Snow White's sister, Rose Red, the next arc is about Goldilocks leading a communist rebellion on the Farm.
