For them three lady's to put on those performances at that age.... amazing. The story was solid the acting was good and the ending made me tear up.

Bravo to everyone that worked on that labor of love.

I kind of liked the first one. I didn't realize it was a huge controversy until they announced the second one.

Maybe it's my age showing but I thought it was amazing and it really brought me back to a happy time in my life. Whereas you're a young one and might not have the same nostalgia for it. I often forget how young you GameFAQs mods are.

I thought it was too much a retread of the original but worse. Remember how Dani carried the first movie? Not one of the new trio had any personality like that. I was very disappointed when they decided to recreate the song scene with Bette Middler singing "One Way Or Another" as if that comes close to "I'll Put a Spell on You."

It was ok, but I had a few things that bugged me like how they got the book. I have no problem with a woman giving them the book, but it should have been Satan/the devil in disguise. The book was said to have been given to her by the devil themself, and when they saw that guy dressed as the devil they called him master and told him they lost his book.

I get they were probably trying to disconnect the witchcraft is Satanic angle, but still you had them mention Wiccan witches in the first movie, make that the good magic. Dont try to spin all magic is just misunderstood even though they will murder children in mass and curse others to undeath or being cats for hundreds of years.

Heck a better way imo would be have the witch in the woods mention the town thinks she is the devil, but the sisters only heard she is the devil, and start fawning over her. She would be like no you misheard me, but they dont listen so she yells fine I'm devil! Whatever! Then gives them the book.

Make it a misunderstanding on the dopey sisters part, just like the Billy being her lover thing.

I really hated how Disney went with the sympathetic villains route they used in Maleficent and Cruella when it didn't match their previous characterization.

OTOH, I thought the actresses who played the sisters as children were so well done, I wouldn't have mind if they were in the movie longer. Unlike the bland modern child protagonists, they read the assignment.

It was okay. Definitely better than I expected. I think the only thing that really irked me were the musical numbers, which overtly felt like forced attempts to recapture the magic of 'I Put a Spell On You' (on the other hand, the 'who are they performing for...?! *jumpscare* 'YOU!' gag made up for the first number). Most of the other retreaded bits were actually kinda cute, like the Swiffer and Roombas.

I think they would have crossed this line if they'd made the elder witch from the intro into the big bad in the present day, and had the Sanderson sisters team up with the new kids to stop her. Thankfully that didn't happen; giving the Sanderson sisters a little bit of sympathy at the end was fine imo as long as they remained the primary antagonists throughout.

Yeah, the intro was the highlight of the movie, particularly young Winnifred.

True. She managed to play a better Bette Midler than Mayim Bialik.
