Part of the reason why the Age of Vtubers has ushered in a newfound peace is because they are all in alliance, if somewhat uneasy.

As such, musing on the outcome of such a hypothetical conflict is an activity that can itself set in motion such conflicts, which is why it's a frowned-upon practice.

The roots of Fratelli d'Italia go pretty much directly back to Mussolini's fascist parties of the 1940s.

It's not just that, though it is some of that for sure. For example, a lot of anime these days is basically empty fetish stuff that doesn't quite veer into the territory of pornography, and these particular genres didn't used to exist because most people wanted a story and characters first and foremost. The fetish shit would just be pornography, which people who wanted pornography would buy and weren't part of the mainstream marketplace (the pornography probably also had a better story and art, idk). Fascists absolutely flock to vapid, generic jerk-off material that isn't quite pornography, because they're dysfunctional, prudish and perverted people who can't, figuratively speaking about art, handle remotely solid foods. Throw in a lot of traditional culture shit (personally I find it tiring when cutesy over 9000 year old alien anime girls don some traditional looking robes to catch fish at the fair with a paper net, but Nazis get an erection), and ethnically-ambiguous-enough-to-be-white generic character designs, and just a dash of sexualized children characters, among other things, and you are absolutely headed towards a social atmosphere which would eventually allow 50 year old white women to run on a platform of having an anime avatar and being a fascist.

It's not all that surprising. They were based on strong philosophical or moral dilemmas, which are rooted in the Enlightenment movement. By their nature they would have to be leftist. The switch over to the majority of it being sex-bait for selling figures is similarly not particularly surprising: it is the basis for capitalism and why essentially every "starving artist" trope exists.
