I stopped caring a million years ago but if this reviews well I might grab it

Yeah I mean the first game wasn't all that great to begin with and they effectively already made Dead Island 2 when they did Dying Light since it was the same team and way more polished.

Unless it is launching on Game Pass I probably wouldn't pick it up until it went on sale and only if it doesn't completely bomb.

I kinda thought Dying Light WAS the sequel

Me too but Dying Light was fun so I'm hoping they make it more like that and less like the first Dead Island. I'm willing to give it a shot but probably not for more than like $15-20

I should play dying light. Maybe it's what I was hoping the first Dead Island would be.
The only good thing to come out of Dead Island was the Who Do You VooDoo song and I don't even think that's a song made up for that game.

we already have dying light, which is the successor made by the same people as dead island and was very good, and dying light 2, which was very mediocre

they all have the same movement and controls

Who knows, maybe Dead Island 2 will end up being the sequel to Dying Light that Dying Light 2 wasn't. Not that I'm holding my breath, I don't even remember who finally ended up making the game it has been kicking around so long.

So it's actually Dead Island 4

The trailer for this one should've been the original Dead Island's trailer but in reverse.
