because Staples has some for around $150

you can definitely get a lightly used chair worth like $600-$800 on craigslist or fb marketplace for under $200 if you're willing to go that route.

that's what i and many of my friends have done. personally i got a $1300 herman miller aeron chair for $300 from somebody selling their office space to go to work from home permanently. there are usually similar deals available around most large cities.

personally i think it's very worth it to go for a more expensive chair for comfort (and back health). a lot of cheap chairs i've found to be quite uncomfortable after 6-8 hours

Damn, I didn't know those Aeron chairs were that expensive. They had them at my office years ago, and I figured they cost $200 max.
