Nope. Not that it matters anyway, intelligence as a concept is pretty faulty.

Anyway, pro-tip, go to college, your IQ will increase.

Mix of different variables.

Genetics. Personal Effort. Education. In that order

Someone can get a great education but still be dumb as hell. Someone can be denied a great education and still manage to learn a lot and be smart as hell. It mostly boils down to what you inherit and the effort one puts into learning. And an education on top of that also helps.

No. If you have intelligent parents, it all matters how much attention they give you to pass it down. You don't just automatically get it lol.

Education really has a big effect though

I'm reminded of my "home schooled" cousin, who at age 14 was nearly completely illiterate, snuck out my mom's cigarettes, and thought we got the Statue of Liberty "from the Chinese as a peace treaty after we bombed them"

Lol. He doesn't even know that the Statue of Liberty was put there by feminists trying to take over America. What an idiot.

I think it comes down to nature vs nurture. Some people are born with a better aptitude, capacity, but it tends to get lost if its not nurtured. At the same time that mediocre minds can go far with high quality education ie: most rich people.

In childhood your environment plays a large part but once you reach adulthood your genes largely determine what your IQ will be by 70/30. Check out the Minnesota twins study.

So much to say that intelligence is not too different from virtue.
